Crawling with Creativity: 3-Day Backyard Bug Lab (Ages 6–12)
Get ready to creep, crawl, glow and launch at Backyard Bug Lab! This exciting 3-day, 50-minute workshop series is packed with bug-themed STEM adventures and hands-on creativity.
Day 1 — Bumblebee Bots
Kids will design and create their own buzzing, bee-inspired bots while discovering how engineers use simple machines, movement and creativity to bring inventions to life.
Day 2 — Glowing Firefly Slime
Kids will create glowing, stretchy slime inspired by magical summer fireflies while exploring the science of polymers and glow effects through hands-on STEM fun.
Day 3 — Creepy Crawly Catapult Challenge
Put your engineering skills to the test! Kids will design and build their own bug themed catapults, then launch creepy crawly creatures through exciting STEM challenges while exploring simple engineering concepts.
