Celebrate and Create: 3-Day Stars, Stripes & Science Adventure (Ages 6–12)
Celebrate summer with Stars, Stripes & Science! This 3-day, 50-minute workshop series for ages 6-12 is packed with patriotic-themed STEM adventures, hands-on experiments, creative art projects and explosive science fun.
Day 1 — Red, White and Boom Rockets
Kids will design and decorate their own patriotic rockets before launching them across the room with an exciting balloon-powered string experiment. Then we’ll turn up the excitement with explosive Alka-Seltzer rocket launches as young scientists discover how chemical reactions create lift-off power!
Day 2 — Star Spangled Slime
Kids will mix, stretch, swirl and customize their own red, white and blue slime while exploring the science of polymers through hands-on STEM play.
Day 3 — Fizzy Firework Art
Kids will combine art and science to make bubbling, fizzing fireworks-inspired masterpieces while exploring exciting chemical reactions through hands-on STEM fun.
